Snow on the hills

Snow is on the hills and the initial signs of a good season are all pointing positive, not long to go now!FullSizeRender

Since returning back from overseas I have been keeping busy. There is still plenty to do in the off season, here an insight to what I have been up to!

– A full review of my past season, looking over every little aspect of what it takes to perform and all the many pieces to the puzzle that have to be aligned; Critiquing technical aspects, reviewing budgets, analysing dryland training preparation and effectiveness, nutrition, equipment, mental, recovery value, sponsorship management and season planning -to name a few. There were some important lessons learnt from my Northern Hemisphere season and changes will be made to ensure I can perform consistently with the best in the world.

– Sorting out my ongoing shoulder issues with a MRI and advice from several specialists. The outcome has been positive and with a physical rehab plan with physio support, the issues I have had to date should be greatly improved.

– I have been back into my dryland training for over 2 months now, the last block has been tough but I have enjoyed it, with some new PB’s in the Chch high performance centre. The focus has been on strength endurance and will now shift to strength. We have also bought in a range of new cross training activities which is keeping it interesting and challenging! Thanks to Shane Crowhen for all his help here. IMG_7820
– I have been working trying to earn some $$$$. This has been in a range of jobs and part time work.

– Together with my amazing sponsor “ONE STUDIO” we are working on further developing my race suit. There is some exciting developments happening, which I will keep you updated with!
I have been very lucky to have my brother Nick as my training partner and 2IC, cheers bro.
